About Us
Climate change institute was incorporated in 2017 and launched as a non-government organization campaigning for action on climate change in Uganda. Climate change institute Uganda campaigns to ensure Uganda does its fair share to tackle the causes and consequences of climate change. Climate change institute was registered with the national NGO Bureau of Uganda with registration No.INDR142351773NB.
Vision
That Uganda makes a rapid and just change against the causes and consequences of climate change.
Mission
A non – government organization campaigning to ensure Uganda does its fair share to tackle the causes and consequences of climate change.
Our Goal
To purposely preserve the environment and make the world a better place to live in.
Training of youth & students
We train people of Lwengo so that they can learn how to effectively handle and care for the seedlings. The training is always successful in that now there is more demand for the trees and we are going to get there soon.
Conducting Community Sensitization
CCIU, carries community sensitization, during that time we encourage people to plant trees and also tell them about the dangers of deforestation and also tell them other ways how the environment can be preserved
Environmental Conservation Program
Protecting our natural environment is key to the survival of fragile ecosystems, wildlife and even humankind. As environmental activist Edward Abbey once said, ‘Action is the antidote to despair’.
Plastic Waste Management
Uganda generates Million tonnes of plastic waste every year but only one-fourth of this is recycled due to the lack of a functioning solid waste management system. This leads to a burden on landfills We help reduce the problem.
